Becoming a Member

Becoming a member of MdPHA is the "cheapest resume builder" around! For $30 a year ($15 for students and for retirees), you get the opportunity to work on and keep informed about important public health issues from across the state. You also will find a ready audience for working on issues you identify among the nurses, local and state health department staff, academics, students, researchers, health educators, physicians, and many others who have decided to join MdPHA.

Membership is renewed yearly, although some members elect to pay for multiple years at one time.  You will receive a renewal notice in late December or early January inviting you to renew your professional membership.  If you join after the first six months of the year, your membership costs may be prorated for the remaining membership period.
